A MESSAGE FROM JULIANNE LABRECHE, OHS PRESIDENT

Welcome to the Ottawa Horticultural Society

Julianne Labreche, OHS President (Master Gardener (MGOC), Master Naturalist, Ecology Ottawa Nature Champion (2023) Pollinator Steward and Ontario Service Award Recipient

Our volunteers organize engaging talks, support civic beautification projects, coordinate summer outings, and host plant sales, auctions, and exchanges. We even plan the occasional bus trip to explore inspiring gardens and, of course, buy more plants.

Gardening appeals to all ages, from children planting their first sunflower seeds to seniors growing vegetables to support food security in Ottawa. Whether you’re into native plants, indoor greenery, Japanese gardens, or rock gardening, there’s a place for you here.

We invite you to explore our programs, attend an event, or simply enjoy the resources we offer. And if you’re ready to dig a little deeper, consider joining our vibrant community of gardeners. Membership opens the door to exclusive discounts, inspiring events, and lasting friendships.

We look forward to welcoming new members and growing together, one garden at a time.
